About Mapa del Vino Uruguay

The Uruguay Wine Map is a self-managed venture by friends and colleagues aimed at capturing and sharing the best destinations for wine enthusiasts visiting Uruguay. One of the key figures behind this initiative is Sebastian Jorcin, founder of Nómade, who co-created the Wine Map and has directed several iconic wine tourism branding projects in eastern Uruguay, including Solera Vinos y Tapas and Luz Culinary Wine Lodge in José Ignacio, and Sacromonte in Sierra de Carapé.

Alongside Argentina and Chile, Uruguay has been gaining international recognition over the years, attracting more followers to its wine route. The Wine Map facilitates and encourages this adventure by providing a comprehensive guide.

When creating the map, we aimed to develop a playful, editorial-style artwork designed for wine enthusiasts who would appreciate it as a collector’s item. After exploring numerous ideas and sketches, we finalized a vintage-styled, aged map with high-quality printing and intricate design details.

The Uruguay Wine Map is distributed free of charge at tourist offices, airports, hotels, winery bars, and wine shops, and is also available online. It has even been featured in international media outlets such as National Geographic. By doing so, we promote tourism in the country, connecting local producers with visitors from around the world.
